We are serving a world in need.
One act of kindess at a time.

Serving Cottonwood since 1950
Our club has continued over the years to evolve to include the objectives of our international organization. For many years we raised charity funds by recycling aluminum cans, the bulk of which funds went to funding eye exams and eyeglasses for those who could not afford them. We have made our services more efficient and accessible through a free clinic housed at the Old Town Mission in Old Town Cottonwood. (For more information go to "Contact Us")
In 2025 club members and dignitaries from all over the state came to celebrate our 75th Anniversary with us at a gala dinner at the Lux Verde here in Cottonwood.

Please donate your used eyeglasses! We have many donation sites around Cottonwood: Walmart Vision Center, Southwest Vision Center, Fornara Eye Center, The Eye Clinic (Dr. Paydar), Foothills Bank, Mountain View Methodist Church, Pine Shadows (Library), Clarkdale Community Development office, Chamber of Commerce, Westcott Funeral Home all have donation containers. Bent, Scratched and old can all be used for recycling.

Who are the Lions?
Melvin Jones, a businessman from Chicago (born in Ft. Thomas, Arizona) wanted to give back to the community and asked others to do the same. Jones said, “You can’t get very far until you start doing something for someone else” and started the Lions Clubs in 1917. Helen Keller addressed the International Lions Club in 1925 and asked “will you not constitute yourselves Knights of the Blind in my crusade against darkness?”
There are now 1.4 million Lions with 46,000 clubs around the world.
Won’t you join us? Come to a meeting the 1st & 3rd Tuesday at Denny’s at 7 AM and breakfast is on us for your first meeting!
